How to get Mantis Out from LR
I'm quite sure the mantis is in the rock.
First, I squirt a freshwater onto the hole where I usually saw him; nothing happened. Second, I dip it onto a bucket full of freshwater for 1 full day; nothing happened. Third, I put the rock out on the dry for 1 full day yesterday; nothing happened. Fourth, late night, I used my hose gun (put it to Jet mode) and shoot the hole like crazy and not only that hole, but all other holes; nothing happened. I am thinking of using soda water and thinking of dipping it for 1 whole night. I don't hear click anymore from my tank, hence I am quite confident that is the rock. The other reason is because I saw him going in and out from that particular hole in that particular rock. What could be happening here? 1. The mantis is death inside the rock? 2. The mantis is still alive inside the rock? 3. The mantis is not in the rock? :wall: |

Have you tried setting a bottle trap in the tank and baiting it with meat?
Are you certain it's in the rock? Have you checked? Put the rock in a bucket of saltwater, nice clean saltwater. He'll probably come out and look for a place with less disturbances, if he's still alive and in there. If he does, don't kill him. Give him to a pet store. You may be able to sell him. Unless he's a VERY large mantis, he won't break your tank, don't worry.
