I figured I would take full advantage of my membership and start a blog. If you are viewing this, please feel free to make tasteful comments and advice.

This deployment has given me COPIOUS amounts of time to research and plan improvements and upgrades to my 125gal tank.

I have all of these on a living word document, but why not share (and open myself to comments and suggestions)?

-Cabinet Lights (LED Strip on switch)
-Refugium Light (if keeping fuge)
-Dosing Pump (Outlet 4 or 8)
-Dosing Pump (Outlet 4 or 8)
-Under Cabinet Fan (If no Fuge..use that outlet)
(2)?-MP40 (Controlled with WXM..)
(4)?-AI Vega

Programming Ideas: (I want my Apex to…)

SUMP PROGRAMS: (Requires B/Box & Float Switches)
-Sump Water Level LOW (Float1…Closed) (To be shut off during ALL Feed Modes):
-Skimmer OFF
-ATO ON…No communication (Then Off)
-Sump OFF
-MP40s ON (Feed Mode or 30%)
-Email/Txt

-Sump Water Level HIGH (Float2…Closed) (To be shut off during ALL Feed Modes):
-Skimmer OFF
-ATO OFF
-Sump ON
-MP40s ON (Feed Mode or 30%)
-Email/Txt

-Sump Water Level NORMAL (Float1&2…Open) (Particularly returning from above conditions)
-MP40s ON (Normal Set mode)
-Sump ON
-Delay (5min)…Skimmer ON
-Delay (10min)…ATO ON

SKIMMER: (After Float switch installed)
-Skimmer cup full (Float3….Closed): Then OFF
-Delay start 5min (Float3 from Closed to Open)

***EXAMPLES***
1)Fallback ON
Set ON
If Power Apex Off 001 Then OFF;......... turns skimmer off if power has been off longer than a minute
If Outlet Return_Pump = OFF Then OFF;........ turns skimmer off if return pump is off

2) A good example of the value of the DURATION can be seen with a skimmer. If the power fails you want to delay starting the skimmer once power is restored. This can be accomplished easily with the command: If Power EB8_3 OFF 003 Then OFF If Power to EB8 #3 is OFF and for 3 minutes after power is returned, set the skimmer outlet state register to OFF.

3) If Outlet Skimmer_Full = ON Then OFF; turns off if skimmer cup is full

4) If Outlet ATO = ON Then OFF; turns off when ATO is on (kalk in ATO sometimes makes it overflow)

If FeedA 060 Then OFF
If FeedB 060 Then OFF
If FeedC 010 Then OFF
If FeedD 010 Then OFF
Defer 005:00 Then ON; stays off for at least 5 minutes

HEATER:
-If < Set temp: Then ON (Want to use seasonal temps)
-If > Set temp: Then OFF

****Example****
1) Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Temp < RT+-1.0 Then ON
If Temp < 40.0 Then OFF; temp sensor normally reads 20 degrees when it fails

2) If temp <RT+-1.0: Then ON
If temp >RT+ 1.5: Then OFF

ATO: (Floats are independent from Controller)
-If Sump is OFF, Then OFF
-Delay (5min) always after Skimmer is back ON
-Delay (10min)always after Sump is back ON

FEED MODES:
To access this special feed mode with the WXM, create a profile called „Feed‟ with mode = constant and select an intensity less than 20%. Call that profile in your feed mode statement (If FeedA 000 Then Feed).
-FeedA (10min) = Regular Fish feeding
-ATO OFF
-Skimmer OFF
-Sump OFF
-MP40=FeedMode
….10min…..
-MP40s return to set mode (Antislave Lagoon 75% x 50%)
-Sump ON
-Delay(5min from Sump ON)… Skimmer ON
-Delay(10min from Sump ON)…ATO ON

-FeedB (15min) = Coral only feeding:
-Skimmer OFF
-Sump OFF
-ATO OFF
-MP40s OFF
....15min….
-MP40s return to set mode (Antislave Lagoon 75% x 50%)
-Delay (3min from MP40 ON)…Sump ON
-Delay(5min from Sump ON)… Skimmer ON
-Delay(10min from Sump ON)…ATO ON

-FeedC (90min) = Water Change:
-Skimmer OFF
-Sump OFF
-ATO OFF
-MP40s ON (5min) (90% Constant… to stir up detritus)
....5min….
-MP40s OFF (Vinegar bath for wetside)
....85min….
-MP40s return to set mode (Antislave Lagoon 75% x 50%)
-Sump ON
-Delay(5min from Sump ON)… Skimmer ON
-Delay(10min from Sump ON)…ATO ON

?-FeedD (60min) = Maintenance:
-Skimmer OFF
-Sump OFF
-ATO Off
….60min… (Change out carbon/GFO, Replace Dosing Jugs, Skimmer vinegar bath)
-Sump ON
-Delay(5min from Sump ON)… Skimmer ON
-Delay(10min from Sump ON)…ATO ON

EMAIL ALERTS:
-Sump Full (Float1….Closed)
-Then ON
-Off when in Feed Modes
-Sump Low (Float2….Closed)
-Then ON
-Off when in Feed Modes
-Skimmer Cup Full (Float3…Closed)
-Then ON
-ATO Container Low (Float4…Closed)
-Then ON

-PH < 7.7
-Then ON
-PH > 8.7
-Then ON
-Temp < RT + -2.5 (Temp 2.5o less than seasonal as selected)
-Then ON
-Temp > RT + 2.0 (Temp 2.0o more than seasonal as selected)
-Then ON

***EXAMPLES***
Fallback OFF
Set OFF; outlet is normally off
If Outlet Water_Low = ON Then ON; if water in sump is low
If Time 23:00 to 06:30 Then OFF; does not text or email when I'm asleep!
If Temp > RT+2.0 Then ON; sends if temperature is more than 2 degrees over seasonal temp
If Temp < RT+-2.5 Then ON ; sends if temperature is lower than 2.5 degrees below seasonal temp
If Temp > 82.5 Then ON; sends if temp is greater than 82.5
If pH < 07.70 Then ON; sends if pH is too low
If pH > 08.70 Then ON; sends if pH is too high
If Power EB8_3 Off 000 Then ON; sends if power goes out
If Power Apex Off 000 Then ON; sends if power goes out
If FeedC 000 Then OFF; overrides the previous if I'm cleaning tank
Defer 010:00 Then ON; state must be in ON position for more than 10 minutes before warning is sent
If Temp < 40.0 Then ON; sends if temperature probe has failed
If Outlet Water_High = ON Then ON; sends if sump is near overflowing
If Outlet Skimmer_Full = ON Then ON; sends if skimmer cup is full

SWITCHES:
-Float1 (Sump High Float)
-Float2 (Sump Low Float)
-Float3 (Skimmer Cup Full)
-Float4 (ATO Container Low)
-Switch5 (Under Cabinet Light)
-Switch 6

If Time 21:30 to 06:00 Then Night; night mode at night
If Outlet Feeder = ON Then ON; if autofeeder is on, put on pumps at 100% so they have to chase food
If FeedA 000 Then Nutrient
If FeedB 000 Then ON
If FeedC 000 Then OFF
If FeedD 000 Then Nutrient
If Power Apex Off 000 Then Night; if power goes out, pumps lower to 50% power

Vortech MP40s (SLAVE)
Set Sync; normally is in sync mode with master pump to create waves
If Time 08:00 to 08:05 Then AntiSync; change it up to antisync a few times a day for random water motion
If Time 17:30 to 18:35 Then AntiSync
If Time 20:30 to 21:35 Then AntiSync
If Outlet Feeder = ON Then ON
If FeedA 000 Then Slow
