i especially like this:
The changes I make
provide crucial life support
and encourage overall growth
I am in control
I make the choices
And control this lifePosted 04/12/2010 at 02:10 AM by superkat -

Finding Your Way, Part III
Freestyle rap-it's ok to laugh just not too loud!
I spit rhymes
like I shoot
don't sit w/ friends
in a group
or you'll all wind up dead
quilty feelings in my head
f--- what I said
the floor turns red
as i begin to dread
from the island which I fled
because i killed my homie
now people that know me
think that they owe me
or try to control me
but they only slow me
away from my riches
i like people except
when they call me inept
I'm about to erupt
if you call me corrupt
as a young pup
my Pops grew me up
in the city of cuse
recluse off the huse
whats a huse?
who gives a f---
i just made it up

Finding Your Way, Part III
Stranger
He walks alone
down a crowded street
oblivious to those around
with one hand
he swoops his hair
then tries to pat it down
wrinkles and scars
show his time on earth
A limp accents his stride
A curious citizen
drives alongside him
but he refuses to ride
he takes a drag
off his full flavor smoke
filterless and sour
In lesser times
when he was young
this man he would not cower
His back bent forward
years of work leave it
tired and sore
his belt has notches
that were not there
his knife will make more
his shoes worn and tattered
with many miles
tell a tale
He has no home
no family
he recieves no mail
another mile passes by
as years accompany it
uncelebrated in their death
staggering blundering
blinded by lifes light
he takes his last breath
Noone will mourn him
no flowers at his grave
to waste away as he did
Worms the only witness
the skies his only kin
another soul this world has ridPosted 04/11/2010 at 11:48 PM by alphaferret -

Finding Your Way, Part III
waterfall
The glowing moon sits above
Guarding its latest pearl
As below almost in jest
tidepools continue to whirl
A fish has come full circle
making its way back home
All by himself
but not alone
Crackling branches
frame this scene
As the wind blows
as it will always be
a bridge stands worn not broken
a scacred passageway
This well traveled fish
will struggle one final day
ensuring his life
was not in vain
In creating life and losing life
he feels no painPosted 04/11/2010 at 11:17 PM by alphaferret -
Finding Your Way, Part III
Tiny world of mine
I look upon my tiny world
And see the politics
The crooks and saints
I look upon the mountains
and valleys
and the vast skyline
I see the motion
obscure in its direction
infinite in its power
I see the air
and the water abides
sweeping all clean
The changes I make
provide crucial life support
and encourage overall growth
I am in control
I make the choices
And control this lifePosted 04/11/2010 at 10:50 PM by alphaferret -
Finding Your Way, Part III
Sometimes
sometimes the prettiest person
is not the most beautiful
sometimes the nicest person
doesn't look to be
sometimes you can find a lift
when you are in the lowest places
Sometimes a free shoulder
is worth more than a million dollars
sometimes the kindest word
comes from a complete stranger
sometimes our biggest enemy
is ourselvesPosted 04/11/2010 at 10:38 PM by alphaferret -

Thunderstorm watch
Agreed. Was standing outside enjoying the still, humid, warm foggy air until a skunk came wandering over from the neighbor's house. Everyone is now safely tucked inside for the rest of the evening. lolPosted 04/06/2010 at 09:52 PM by dreaminmel -
