Just about there...

The stand is almost complete. I installed the doors today. I'm very happy with them. I purchased them through Advantage Cabinet Doors (http://www.advantagecabinetdoors.com/). I also ordered drawer fronts for false drawers to fill in the gap above the doors, but I messed up and ordered the wrong size, so they were re-ordered today. Duh. Here is the crate that the doors came in:

Thanks for the kudos on the fish room. I still need to get a better exhaust system in the room. My son had several friends over this weekend to work on an english project. I was going in and out of the fish room and overheard one of his girlfriends say "Ewe, it smells like SeaWorld here!" I of course don't smell a thing!

Stand almost complete

I put the final coat of paint on the stand last night. It's looking really sweet. All that is left now is to paint and install the doors, which are expected to arrive tomorrow by FedEx. I also completed the electrical today. I now have a dedicated 15 amp circuit behind where the stand will be, as well as a shared 15 amp circuit ( the new circuit is the one with the 4 outlets in the pic below). I also put a low voltage access in the wall to eventually run an Ethernet line for the Apex that I will...

First coat of paint

First coat of paint went on this morning:


I also installed the floor tile on the inside:



Pictures are not the best, sorry.

I must say that I'm very pleased with how the stand turned out...

So, I got the first coat of primer on all of the visible exterior today. I moved the stand from my shed/workshop to inside my house where the environment is cleaner and warmer and I have more room. It was not as heavy as I thought, but very awkward to move BY MYSELF.
