Yeap, that is what I am going for, Not sure of the trim yet, but that is the concept.

breutus 02/11/2009 08:10 AM

You have made some serious progress since the last time I looked!

Everything is coming together really nicely!!! On I hood I did recently I did a similar finish with wood and just went the cheaper route and used crown molding to trim it all out, It ended up looking really nice, I have to find a picture for you

michealprater 02/11/2009 08:57 AM

Would really like to see a pic. I will prolly go to Bob's salvage in Effingham IL to get trim and cabinet doors.

Nanook 02/11/2009 09:39 AM

Looking great! Are you accessing the tank from behind only?

michealprater 02/11/2009 09:47 AM

Nope, cabinent doors to be cut in at a later date.

michealprater 02/13/2009 08:36 AM

Got the cracked skimmer repaired and back in service.

got two 250 watt 20k bulbs temporarily mounted over the tank. I really like the look and cannot wait to get my lighting setup done and permanently mounted.

Was messing around with my Mom's Nikon D80. It takes some nice pics!

Those pics are crummy. A point and shoot just wont take good pics. It is frustrating!

mangobusa83 02/26/2009 01:08 AM

cant wait til everything grows out...it will look great... so what are you dosing?

michealprater 02/26/2009 06:39 AM

Tank is too new for dosing. So nothing. After the tank has been up for a few months, if the alk levels and mag levels arent where I want them, I may consider using two part dosing from bulkreefsupply. As of right now, they are in acceptable ranges, just not as high as I would like to have them.

michealprater 03/05/2009 10:16 PM

New additions added. kraash new a lady the was breaking down a tank, and was going to flush the fish. So, more rescues!:)

I added a huge tomato clown to the frag tank. Not sure if I will keep him, may give him away. I added a percula clown and a coral beauty angelfish to the display. Both appearing to do well. Once they are settled and comfortable I will try to get pics.

Are all four reflectors "Mini's" ?

For some reason when I look at that picture it appears that there are two different sizes...

michealprater 03/08/2009 04:42 PM

All 4 are identical sizes. Mini's. 14.5" x 14.5"
