Neptune Apex vs. Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper ?????

Hey all. I recently got turned on to the idea of incorporating an automated controller system to help out with the daily upkeep, dosing and monitoring so I wanted to turn for help to those of you that have these systems or possibly have had both and switched to the other for any reasons.

I am very interested to know what you like and don't like about them, what you would do differently if you had to do it again and which system you prefer.

As far as I can tell they are pretty much the same with the reefkeeper being slightly cheaper (I think). However I also noticed that the reefkeeper does not seem to have the equivalent of a dc or eb8.

For those of you that have controllable Tunze streams and are using these systems to control them, please let me know how it is working out for you. I currently have the 7095 multi controller and have wondered what benefit I would to purchasing the stream connections as opposed to keeping the Tunze controller and just plugging it into the system.

Thanks ahead for any and all help.

The Apex is a better value, more features, more reliable, and better customer service. I have owned both. Stream control works very well, and you can have endless cycles and control throughout the day.

After a lot of reading on here and other sites i choose the apex. Do a lot of reading and make the decision for yourself. I love the dimming function with my leds.

You can dim any fixture that has an external control option such as 0 - 10volt control or serial control.
