Problem with brs ro di
 

I'm having an issue with my ro di system not dripping water into my top off container but lots is going down the drain. I have a flush kit installed and have tried flipping the switch both ways for the same result. I just changed my di resin as it was depleted. There are two filters, one soft that I put in the end cap and the other rigid one is at the top. Thinking this may be the issue. Also I just want to make sure that I have all the lines connected properly as I moved it recently from its original location. If someone has pictures of how it should be connected with all the lines going to each connection it would be appreciated. I have the 75 gpd unit with a flush kit. Thanks

I get like 1 gallon to every 4 that goes down the drain. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to make 5 gallons. I've got the value plus 75gpd model.

Mine was running for about sixteen hrs and I got about nothing. Going to have to break it down and see what the problem is

My BRS 75 GPH puts out 5 gal. in about 40-45 min.@ 75-78 psi.
However water pressure the condition of the pre-filter [if you have one] sediment, carbon filters and water quality can contribute low output very quickly.

Try bypassing/removing the flush kit, check the valve as well. how old are the filters and membrane.

I also have problem with my RO-DI unit. Hopefully don't mind I ask here!!
my water pressure drop alots. everytime start at 75PSI after 1-2 hour it drop to 25PSI
even I use booster pump. do you guys know what the problem?

Do you have a 'Pressure Regulating Valve'on the home, well or municipal water ?

I experienced the same thing, and my booster pump had gone bad. Replaced it and I was good to go.

I changed the sediment filter to a 10 micron since the store didnt gave a five. I rinsed off the carbon blocks and at least it's dripping now. I ordered replacement cartridges for everything. Then it should work fine

Rinsing it doesn't help once the carbon is full of particulate matter it’s pau. One thing I do to keep track of when it’s time for a change out, is write the date on a piece of transparent tape, stick on the canister. When it starts running slow you’ll know how many months you can typically get out each type of filter.

For water pressure issues plumb the booster pump between the carbon filter and the membrane. Booster pumps have close tolerances and it doesn't take much ( particulates) to ruin one

Jasimek- IMO 10 micron is way too big of a pore size for a sediment filter. I can understand wanting to get the filter to work. The sediment filter purpose is to protect the membrane from large particales.

I run a .2 micron sediment filter and change it out once a year and I have crappy water.

I strongly suggest using Spectrapure replacement filters and their page on RC has a lot of helpful info
