Help with rock setup
 

Got my life rock and was very happy with my arrangement outside the tank.
Then I started trying to join pieces of rock together with stone fix or instant ocean epoxy and omg is this frustrating!
Even with me taking pictures it seems almost impossible to put things back together the way I had them and I am only taking apart two pieces at a time, not disassembling everything.
Also the epoxy didn't hold very well. The stone fix was stronger but that also came apart in a few places while I was jockeying stuff around trying to place rock in the tank.
Is this usually such a pain in the neck?

When I was 'scaping my 110 tall, I ended up drilling holes in my rocks, and using acrylic rods to hold them together. It was a massive headache for me, even with dry rock. Ever since then, I've decided to go with shallow tanks only.

I have very heavy rock and used Stone Fix with no problems. I even have an overhang. Did you make sure to not make it with too much water. The consistency needs to be like thick glue. I usually build it in the tank

Well now I am going to try and put everything together inside the tank.
And I will try to mix the stone fix with a thicker consistency.
As I said it did hold pretty well.
If things seem reasonably solid but there is slight movement do I need to bind larger rocks together?
