Bleaching cyphastrea help
 

So I have polyp extension but my cyphastrea is losing color and is almost white my parameters are as follows
Nitrate - .2ppm
Phosphate - 0ppm
Ca- 480ppm
KH- 7.3
Mg-1400
Im also using a mars black box for my light.
If anyone knows a cause of this or needs more info I'd appreciate your reply.

Well.. do you have other corals? Are they doing fine?
Do you have it in a "low light" area?
How long have you had it?
Have your parameters remained stable?

Mine lose color with too much light. I keep them very low/shaded.

Everyone is doing pretty good except for my montipora, but thats never done too well. I've had the cyphastrea for about 6 months and it started bleaching a few days ago. I have it in the front of the tank on a rock about 2 inches above the sand its in a corner so its not the most intense light. And yes my parameters have remained stable. I use reef crystals if thats of any value.

Elegance
Frogspawn
Torch
A couple flavors of zoas
Monipora
Cyphastrea

Ive also got about 10 hermits and one clown.

Well.. they are a low light coral.. So "not the most intense light" doesn't sound like the best place for it..

I actually had to put mine at 2" off the bottom, kinda shaded by the above LR, where it only got reflective indirect light. Colour returned in about 40 days. Now green skeleton with red polyps again.
