I've had that happen to my green nepthea in the past and it stopped dying off and made it...so, fingers crossed. I would just leave it be...might not be a bad idea to run a poly filter pad in the sump to see if there is some kind of heavy metal that could be affecting it. They are not that expensive and sometimes help...also, a small amount of carbon might not be a bad idea.
