I'd put it back together and see if it works now. Sometimes disassembly and reassembly will correct stupid issues. It's also possibly that you had air trapped in the pump that wasn't escaping for some reason. Try submerging the pump before you put the return line on so all the air can escape. |
In the first pic I thought that line may be a crack...also the end looks a little worn to me
