There is a big club in FL, check it out in the Reef Club section. This is where I would start. There is a wealth of knowledge in clubs, the members are great with sharing and there is also the possibility of getting something needed used.
The best advise I can give is to take it slow, nothing good happens fast.
1st thing you will need is an RO unit if you want corals. Salt is like lighting, you will get many opinions. Personally I use Instant Ocean.
AND not everything has to be bought right away.
