aquarium warranty?'s
hello,
i'm seriously considering purchasing a 220g tank, stand, and canopy, mainly because of the "warranty". i have not been able to find the warranty info in writing though.... does anyone have a link to the warranty details? also... would placing a factory stand on a 4" raised solid wood level platform void the warranty? they make the stands sooooo stinking low! lol lastly, are marineland and perfecto tanks the same? thanks....

be very careful my friend, my 60 gal cub failed on me after only 2 years. I have receipts tags proof of purchace, the whole nine yards. Marineland is giving me nothing but trouble in warranty dep "They" Marineland are trying to claim that my tank is not their product. What a
F-ing joke this company is. |

I had a 300DD fail after a few months. Back panel snapped in the overflow.
Marineland pretty much told me it was not on their stand so they would not cover it. Even though they told me the standard term for not using their stand is 1 year. While I had nothing to loose I took it apart piece by piece to get it out of the house. We had to remove a window to get it in. The bottom was not even and looked like it was about to fail at the seem. I tried to get marineland to respond for about 6 months before I finally gave up. Sorry never buy again |

Marineland/perfecto aquariums are junk stay away
I just went through this with Marineland with my 150 gallon, the silicone
Seal let go on the bottom of my less then one year old tank. Lost fish corals Hardwood drywall in the basement and some aquarium equipment got smoked. This happened in May of 2016 and today I just got a letter from Marineland saying they are denying my claim even though it's their stand and tank and gave me no reason as to why they denied the claim. So I will be contacting my lawyer this week. I believe they are so overwhelmed by all the claims coming in from the junk they build overseas. Big Als dropped Marineland after 40 years so I can only imagine the nightmare that's been going on with these tanks. |
