HOB Skimmer decision

I'm hoping you guys and gals can help me make a choice. My prizm pro HOB skimmer has given up the ghost (I know it never really worked all that well - and I have more money now). It's time to move on. I have a 75gal glass tank moderately stocked reef that has been running for 10+ years. I have no sump. I'm trying to decide between a Reef Octopus 2000 HOB Classic and and Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 skimmer. The Reef Octopus is larger but doesn't have a drain tube (I currently have it running to a bucket and would hate to give that safety measure up). The Aquamaxx says it only fits a tank rim of .75". Mine measures at 1.0" (Oceanic brand). That won't work either. I have 5" behind the tank if needed. Please help me make a decision.

I have used the Reef Octopus 90 HOB and Eshopps 100H. Both have cup drains.
