Dwarf Seahorse Care Questions
Hello. I'm very excited because after years of grueling reaserch I think I've finally found a dwarf seahorse design I think will work for these guys.
Tank: tall ,10 gallons with a sponge filter Food: Baby brine shrimp (enriched) Hatched daily out of 4 soda bottle hatcheries Decorations: Sand, mushroom coral?, macroalge and eelgrass, artificial decor The enite tank will be treated with panceur I was thinking about getting 3 pairs of DSH's and some type of clean up crew. I'd appreciate advice from an expirenced dwarf keeper in regards to what type of clean up crew works best. I'd of course do everything very slowly and cycle my tank. Thank you for your imput. |

You will be hard pressed to be able to see the 3 pairs of dwarfs very much in a 10g tank.
I used a 5g tank and had no problem with up to 50 dwarfs in it, but I'd never SEE anywhere near the 50 at any given time. The dwarfs are smaller than many people realize as you can fit 4-5 average size adults on the flat of a silver dollar. I never used a cleanup crew as I felt that frequent and large water changes with intense cleaning was more important and thus negating a need for CC.
