I want to start filling 5 gallon water jugs for drinking. Someone said to take the product water before the DI stage for drinking . Any comments. I know it won't be pure pure pure ,it measures 3ppm before DI. thanx,Pete

I would get it before the DI. It tastes bitter to me after the DI. Disc1 over in the chemistry forum can give you a much better answer.

Water after the DI tastes terrible. I'd save the DI resin for your tank and drink RO only.

You can get very sick if you drink striaght DI water. This is because all the cells in your body maintain osmotic ballance. If you ingest large amounts of DI water it is esentially H20 only you can cause all the ions in your cells to flood out of the cells to maintain that ballance. Thus making you very sick. If you want to drink the water you should use just RO.

+1 to RO and NOT straight DI for reasons above
