Basement Fish Room build
So I'm hoping for a little advice. Granted my pic is a little weird, but I use cut up post it notes as my plumbing so I can move it around.
Does my set-up make sense? Valves and such set aside it goes like this: DT to sump Sump to pump Pump t'd to frag that drains to sump Pump to DT t'd off at refugium that drains to sump Does that make sense? |

So I'm just catching up after a long week at work. I've got the tanks all set up (minus plumbing) and all the stands built. I see the original diagram is confusing to anyone but me
Here's the set-up: 180 gallon upstairs in the den area Basement Fish room has several tanks all set at different levels to drain into the sump. The DT will run 1.5" flex for drains and returns. It will drain directly into the sump in the pic below. I plan to drill some tanks this weekend. I have the 55 above the sump (prob a combo ATS and display refugium), a frag tank and a 75 gallon. The above tanks will all drain back to the sump and be fed by an Iwaki return pump with valves to control H2O pressure. Should I keep everything at 1.5" for the drains back to the sump or should I go with smaller? The original diagram was a front view. |

So I'm drilling later today (work got in the way) and I need a little plumbing advice. The sump will have 4 lines draining into it - DT upstairs, 55 gallon n above, frag tank and another 75. Does anyone have a recommendation on the best tees to allow them all to drain in together? The sump in the pic above has that plumbing bit already glued in so I'm trying to use it. Thanks!
