Advice welcome!!!!!

I am over 30 years in reefing and never had to deal with this ****!
I cycled the tank with dead rock - FIRST HUGE MISTAKE but hard to find decent live rock thus the Marco and add bacteria etc..for an impatient guy is a nightmare...
Anyways.....
First...after screwing up with Nitrate and PO4 bottoming out...dinoos started and took over quick....
Second... I added PO4, Nitrate , Hydrogen Peroxide, and bacteria a bit....for about 2 weeks now and the dinos are almost gone and maybe gone but I am not 100% sure....
Third...red slime kicked in pretty fast and strong...used chemiclean..its gone...
FOurth now hair algae and leftover dinos in sand....
PO4 is .09, Nitrates at 15, ALk 8.5, Salinity .025
My question is...do I now start to widdle away at the nutrients and get
them down to say Nitrate 5 and PO4 .05 ???? or is it too soon to lower the nutrients? NOTE: The corals in the tank are doing super unbelievably! They are all LPS and they seem to like the nutrient spike.... I instaled a UV to help but I have not seen any significant change with it ..I put it in to help control or prevent ick...repeat *HELP* ... I know it is not the begin all and end all a UV.. So..whats next? DO I reduce the nutrients now? Thanks for you input people. Cheers, Happy Thanksgiving.

Tim, as long as the corals look good I would let it ride.
You know nothing good happens fast in a reef tank.
I got rid of Dinos by letting my #'s go up
A good clean up crew sounds like something to start with.
-o- is something you don't want on any parameter and there is some truth to your statement about LPS liking "dirtier water". I would try getting nitrates down to around 10 but that's about it, & if things look a little worse let it back upagain.

I’m confused! Is the question you want to lower your nitrates?
My answer to what ever the problem(s) is……. WATER CHANGES. but you being in the hobbie 30 years…… you know that

My advice to you is next time (not PC way but works every time) fill the tank and put damsels in. That’s old school style and let the tank cycle that way.
