Drain tank into fuge and frag tank?
I'm setting up a fish room one floor under my DT. I'm planning to put a fuge and frag tank in there. I was considering feeding the fuge and frag tank from the display tank drain. That way I won't need an additional pump, but now I'm wondering if that will create too many bubbles in the fuge and frag tanks. Probably not a big deal in the fuge, but definitely not ideal for the frags.
Do you think this would be possible to do without bubbles or am I better off just using another pump? |

My Display Drain drops down into a small Pre filter box then part goes to the fuge and the rest to sump.... I would feed the frag tank off the return pump with a valve...

Thanks for the answers. I wound up feeding both of them off of the return pump. I seriously considered using the tank drain for the refugium, but I was just afraid of too many bubbles and I didn't want to try it and have a problem and have to redo the plumbing.
