Torch coral flesh question..

The 'skirt' flesh that is connect to the base of the coral has what look like small worms under the flesh. The coral has been fine since purchased approximately 2 months ago until recently it doesnt open/extended as much as previously.
I noticed this happening under the flesh very recently and would like to know if this is a parasite or is normal.
I can look at different times of the day and see the area is completely clear, at other times they are present under the fleshy shirt.
Should I dip? Would the dip solution penetrate under the fleshy area?
Thank you.
