my tanks are in the basement and i heard if i run a hose from my reef octopus skimmer to the outside it will help bring the ph up to get some fresh air in the house but what about the winter time?

If the basement is closed up causing elevated CO2 then it will work the same in the winter as in the summer.

Is it low? Because the basement is closed up? Get some fresh air to it.
