easy question

This may be a dumb question but if I order a pump with a half inch outlet should I get half inch tubing for it or 3/4? Thanks,

Dustin

I can't recall the exact sizes of all my plumbing parts, but what I always do, and what I recommend, is to take the pump with you to a Home depot or Lowes and build the plumbing while in the store. This way there is no second guessing sizes and what may or may not fit.

If you look at the picture of my sump it can give you an idea of what I'm talking about. I would never recommend attempting to slip a tube over a threaded output. There's just too much room for error. Build a pvc foundation off of the pump, then you can attach the tubing to the pvc and secure it with a worm clamp.

Its not threaded:

I was just trying to order the tubing online, Way cheaper then at my hardware store in the middle of nowhere. Also the U-tube i want to order fits 3/4 inch tubing and not half inch. : / I guess I can just order it and hope for the best. (it's only $3)

1- measure the outside of the pump fitting.
2- what is the inner dimension of the hose?
This should get you there
3- you can always stretch the vinyl hose to fit with HOT water if it is close to size.
