New 1000g build
Hi
Been lurking for a while , love this site But Havnt been overly active So thought I would start a journal of our new 1000g build We currently have a 400g well stocked mixed reef that's 2 yrs old Fish ate growing fast and so is our addiction apparently. New build 8.5 x 4.9 x 2.4 starfire peninsular 6 x 3.5 race track sump Tank is due for delivery 7th of April So not too far away We decided to hopefully do things right the first time & have spent many months planning & purchasing Will post as the build comes together The first major hurdle is moving the 400g into another spot to make room for the new build Am working in this happening in the next week or so m Extremely stressful but hoping all goes well |

Interesting.
Increasing by 600g. Using most of your existing equipment? Or just a few upgrades there? Return pump change? Estimated flow rate?

The current set up has sold Everything except the uv So the new build is all new We've purchased the Vectra 11,600 So full volume turn over will be roughly the same as we run now 3.5 times Been extremely happy with the results on current set up so decided against change |

Can I ask where the tank is from, and what did you pay for it? I'm looking at having a tank similar just a little smaller built. You can pm me if you want to do it that way I'll understand

are those 36 inch or 48 inch fixtures? Assuming 36 that's ~1000 watts of T5? 1300 if they're 4 footers?
Cool looking build anxious to see more about the lighting and other items you've chosen. Following along! |

4 x 54w (4foot) 6 units & 5 full spectrum 54w led pulsars to run across the tank instead of length ways The pulsars have been delayed in shipping We have installed a linear actuator which lifts the complete lighting fixture to the roof allowing easy access when attending to maintenance This has been installed & hidden within the roof cabity |
