Dosing question, A, B & C.

I started the program about 6 months ago. 80 Gallon system, using Probiotic salt (weekly 10G water changes), NP Pro on a doser, A,F,V & E every other day drop wise. I am dosing my own Calcium and Alkalinity supplements to maintain those levels.

My question is, I have unopened bottles of Component A,B and C and I'm getting mixed information on whether I should be using them in my set-up.

Thanks.
Mike

Hi,
As far I understand you are dosing Ca, Mg and Alk on your own. In that case you can use component A,B and C along with them to maintain the balance. But I will say start slowly with half the recommended doses and then based on how corals react you can increase the dosing.

My question was really this...Are the elements in A,B and C already present in the Probiotic salt?

I do weekly 10% water changes so I don't want to be overdosing.

Thanks Anirban.

Thanks Anirban.
Definitely they are part of the salt. If you think your coral dont need or just 10% water change can replenish the lost elements then you dont. But AF is a full balling method so based on Alk consumption they calculate other element level and premix them as dosing and generally the calculation stays spot on.
