back 2 the peppermint shrimp that got ran over by a skimmer (sorry paintbug)
now that I know I have a aqua remora, does any one know if thats a good brand. or should I get a well known one? & should I use that big black box on it. is it worth it.

Some people use them. They aren't the best but its a skimmer. I would use the black box to cut back on micro bubbles.

I dont have that tpye of skimmer, but those decrease the amount of bubbles that enter your tank. Can you raise it so the top sticks above the suface of the tank water?

yes thats what i do but then if the water cant run in it. it starts making noise like im fixing to burn my skimmer up. last night we had a storm, & lost power. what can i do in that case? how long can the fish be alright without power?

Well, you can always put a screen or egg crate over the box. The fish will be ok as long as theres some oxygen getting into the tank. Its always good to have a generater if you have tank.

LOL no problems!! hopefully you will get some more help now . those skimmers are a step up from the Seaclones. which to some isnt great. since you have it might as well try it out. theres lots of mods to do to them to make them better. i did a quick search for ya http://www.google.com/custom?q=aqua+...eefcentral.com
