can TUNZE 6000 be throttled back without controller?

i just ordered 1 TUNZE 6000 stream yesterday for my 92 corner. no controller. in a month or so i will order another w/ multi controller. for now i will be running my 7 MJ1200's w/ the 6000. if u don't have a controller, does it just run full speed or can it be throttled back? i should be getting it wed. thanks.

The driver (little blue aluminum box) has a little screw on its side that can be adjusted from about 30-100%.
