How much water to run throuigh before collecting? (new ro/di)

i got a new spectrapure 4 stage system, haven't plumbed to a water source yet, but how much water should be ran through before i can start collecting it for use? the book says 2 gals, but would would you suggest?

did your system come with a storage tank? (usually a 3 gal pressurized cylendar (sp)

My book taold me to fill and flush that tank once.

I flushed it three times.

But since it is pressurized, it probably is good after one flushing.

i ordered an HM inline tds meter today, so i guess i'll wait till that comes in to set it up.
