I got one for Christmas for my new 90. It's my first skimmer and it produces some nasty stuff. It was very easy to set up and install. Plus, it's very quiet!

I have heard these skimmers are very top of the line. Not as good as a Euro Reef but still very good. I love the sponge that comes with it.

I haven't heard much about them. But if it turns out to be a winner I might have to get one for my 90g....whenever that gets setup.

That skimmer is fine for your 55g. Enjoy.

There are some performance mods that can be implemented, but do not worry yourself with those now. Get to know your skimmer for a while and then look for mods.
You maybe happy and dont need the mods.
