Peppermint shrimp, feather dusters, 6-line wrasse, and clams???
Can you keep these things together? I thought that you could, but I constantly read different things. Trying to figure out what all one can keep in a tank is very very tricky. My current planned list:
Pair True Percula Clowns Royal Gramma Lawn Mower Blenny Banggai Cardinalfish 6-lined Wrasse A couple of giant clams feather dusters Peppermint shrimp some miniature brittle stars possibly a couple of hermit crabs or snails, not sure which yet though This group eventually going into my 55 gallon setup. |

Some people have had their lawnmower blennies nip at clam mantles, but I don't think that it's a common occurrence.
It's more fish than I would personally put into a 55, but I don't see anything wrong with that list either. |

The Peppermints will likely eat the Feathers not the Sixline. The Sixline may go after the shrimp, mine ate two of 'em.

I used to have a 6 line with a cleaner shrimp, feather dusters and clam and he never bothered any of them. Just a warning though....even if mine wasn't while I had him I have heard from many people who say 6 lines are pure evil and will constantly bully/harrass the other fish in the tank. A pair of clowns will be neat together but they will also become bullies to anywhere that they consider their territory as well as at feeding time (one clown wouldn't be as much trouble). Like someone already said, Lawnmower Blennies can become mean as they get bigger and nip at clam mantles as well as other fish.

The only way is try it, because all fish have different personalities and act differently. Everyone on a few forums told me that a 6 line wrasse was good with shrimps. It took the wrasse one month to wipe out all my shrimps. He ate 2 cleaners and 4 peps!
I have 5 feather dusters with 4 peps and they don't bother the feather dusters! |

my 6-line can eat a peppermint in less than 30 seconds... two peppermint shrimp made an expensive meal, however he has left my cleaner alone. I think that if the shrimp is introduced first, the 6-line will leave it alone... atleast for a while
