Best Coral to start with

I have had my tank setup for about 18 months now and i wanted to start getting some coral. I currently have 4x96 PC lights, with this lighting what would be a good coral to start off with?
Thanks,

Mushrooms and Zoo's, hammer, frogspawn, green star polyps, yellow polyps. Maybe a leather or two.

QT will be the same as fish. Use a seperate tank with it's own filtration. I have a 20 breeder with a cheapo Bio Wheel filter that I use. It's got a thin layer of sand, a heater, a PC bulb and a few pices of PVC for hiding spots. It runs all the time that way if I need to use it as a hospital tank I don't have to set it up. It's got a couple of inverts and a pair of Mollies in it to maintain the biological filter. I use the Mollies to control Hair Algae in the display tank but if I have none I keep them in the QT tank. They also provide a lot of live food for the display tank when they breed

For the corals I drip acclimate them over a period of 3-4 hours. Then I'll introduce them to the QT tank for a month. Some people do more but that's all I do.

Xenia too
I had luck with a poccilapora (sps) with 2x96 pc but I placed it high with good flow. with this, it's better if you have decent parameters though

O yeah, forgot about xenia!! I'm still looking for some myself. No one local is getting rid of any and the stores are charching $59 per stalk! You may be able to get away with some of the easier SPS provided you can get them close enough to the light. Be sure to keep calcium levels up since these guys will use it up quick!

I don't think you can kill the purple mushrooms if you try to

I bought some xenia from petco and the girl only charged me $7/pound rate on the rock it was attached to. so 2 of them were only 2 bucks. heck, if you are around nj, I'll cut some. I gave someone a good size one, only to find out it died on him within a month

btw, xenia, shrooms, yellow polyp, green star and some easier corals can spread fast under the right condition (if you don't pay attention)
