Is this good substrate?

Is this a good substrate? Also how much LBS do I need for my 30 gallon? I am thinking 40lbs is more than enough

The first link would work good enough.
If you know your tank length and width and how deep of a sandbed you want, you can use this calculator to figure out how many pounds will be needed.
