Securing External Pump Suction Line

I'm planning on moving my Mag 7 pump outside of my sump and running it externally. It will sit next to the sump only about a foot or two away from the intake. I'm not sure how to secure the suction line from the pump to the sump.

From the pump it will go to flex and then to a ball valve and then to the sump. It'll roughly be an inverted U-shape. I'm afraid it'll kind of flop around, but I don't know what to secure it with or what to? Ideas?

I'm using 1" for the discharge. This is oversized. Is 1" ok for the suction side as well?

Thx
