Sump/refuge and return setup help

Alright i received my return pump today so i figured i would get to start tomorrow or over the weekend but i wanted to know what way should i do my sump/refuge and return i bought 3 12x10in glass sheets but i can always buy more if i end up needing it. also what type of lighting should i buy for the 10g sump/refuge. Thanks!
BTW if you got any pictures or sketches you have of your sump or return set up will help.
Thanks again,
Nick

anyone?
wouldn't i have less head loss if i had the return go up to the top of the tank then T off both ways and then down inside the tank or would having it V off from the start of the return and then it'd go right to the sides and then have it go in.
Kinda confused...

Look on the DIY forum. Check out a thread started by "blinkygrl" about a DIY 10g combo sump/fuge, that should at least get you started in the right direction. Also check out "melevsreef.com" as he has a ton of info!

Not my sump but a buddies we recently built. His was a 20gal but 10 will work fine. We drilled the return chamber for bulkhead for easy pump access and to allow more water volume in the sump but the return pump could easily be mounted internally.

not to scale

On your earlier question. Wait until you get to the top of the tank to T. You are correct this will cut your head loss consideribly.
