Sea Hares: How hardy?

I don't know much about these guys? I'd like to add one temporarily to clean up a hair algae problem. Do they have long life expectancies in aquaria with sufficient food?

I had no problems with mine, he was very interesting to watch. I would reccommend. Just make sure your powerhead strainers don't suck it in. Thats what happened to mine.

they will def. require suplemental feeding after your hair algae is whiped out. also they smell so bad when they die. feed it and it should do fine.

A good size seahare when you buy it is around 3''. As it goes on the more he eat the more he gets bigger (duh) but at a certain time he will reach is capacity of eating and will die.

So if you go and purchase one make sure it around 3'' of size.
