royal gramma compatability question

i bought a royal gramma fri night, small 1. acclimated properly and placed in tank. it shot up towards MJ, then after about 10 minutes, shot down into LR hole. never seen it again. i'm sure it's dead. i didn't find it but i've only found 1 dead fish in this tank in almost 4 years. when fish get stressed or just die, they go completely MIA. anyway other fish i have are 1 PT, 1 maroon, 1 bangai cardinal, 1 6line and 1 black algae blenny. the only fish that i think saw it were the cardinal and 6line. for about 2 hours after i added RG, the 6line was shooting all around tank like a maniac, instead of slow and smooth as usual. i think, for some reason, the RG succumbed to stress and died. are my fish compatable w/ a royal gramma, specifically the 6 line. i would like to try another RG, but will get 1 lager than the 6 line and definately larger than the RG which went MIA. he was only about 1.5".

When I got my Gramma, he hid in LR for quite a bit of time. Eventually he popped out and has been doing great for 6 months now. I would say to keep presenting food and don't lose hope just yet.
