water clarity

i've been using filter floss and seachem clarity for a while but as soon as i stop using the clarity my water goes dusty. water changes make no difference. pleeeeeeeease heeeeeeelp!!!!

not really milky. it looks like the water is full of millions of tiny particles of dust.

did you try a powerfilter?
what filteration do you have now?

chamber1 filter floss
chamber2 carbon, rowa phos, purigen, bioballs.
chamber3 stock pump.

i only use ro. my tank is just getting over a real bad diatom battering, if thats got anyhting to do with it? the hood covers the tank.

hmm....did the dusty thing just happen...sounds like its connected to your diatom bloom then......

Mg is high.....s/b around 1280~1350...but I dont think thats your problem....
everything else looks great.......I dont know...is it your sand not settling in...?

i've got a big sock in there and i've just added a small new one. i've also just replaced the carbon with active carbon in a pull tight bag.
