massive salinity change?
A "friend" just gave me a royal gramma he had in his tank, which I have come to find out was VERY neglected...
His SG was 1.036, no joke. Mine is 1.025. I have drip aclimated it for about 1 hour now, and got the SG in the new water to 1.030... Should I add RO/DI water to it to help it along or just let it go? I am thinking the latter... Anybody had to do this extreme of an acclimation before?

well the longer the aclimation the better, and getting him closer to the water params is the reason for aclimation. If anything, a longer aclimation is going to be benificial compared to shocking him by a change in salinity. Why don't you continue to drip aclimate with RODI.

so far so good, I got the SG down to match and put it in and it seems ok so far, I won't really know until the lights come on tomorrow, but it's not floating at the top yet ;-)
