Too much or too little flow for 26g bow?

I am planning a 290G system but until that gets planned and purchased and set up, my existing 26G bow is going to have to do. I had a CPR overflow but when i moved it to a family members house, i dropped it and it broke. So when i get back to move the tank back to my place i am going to drill it and DIY a overflow out of glass while it is drained. Please input on the plan i have for now.
It has about 40 pounds of live rock, clam, Xenia, mushrooms, fiji leather, hammer, and orange zoos. A single 3/4" drain from the over flow going to a 20G tank made to be a fuge and returned via a Rio 1700 rated at 486GPH at 2 ft of head. Fuge has its own stand. The return will be by one 3/4" split into two 3/4" lines one entering on each side of the overflow through a bulkhead. On the inside of the bulkead i will be using loc-line with a splitter on each return to provide four total nozzles for the return. All this is using flex tubing and ribbed fittings with clamps for security.

My questions are:

-Is this too much flow for the fuge or the tank?
-Will one 3/4" drain be enough or should i put two?
-If i set up the return the way i have described, will 4 nozzles lower the "force" out of each one and not reach the depth of the tank?

I hope that makes sence? It did in my head and sometimes does not sound right once i type it out.

Thanks,

Chris

I thought it would help if i made a diagram. I also used the overflow calculator and it said a .91" over flow so i am going to go with one 1 inch return.

Is my return plumbing plan going to work? Or will four inlets be too many?

i would do a single 1 inch drain. at first I had split my return into two nozzles but flow was week so I went with one and is good. but you will need a powerhead. when I unplugged my powerhead and left sump pump on xinia would have a prob. and flow was week

Can i get a larger return pump to avoid a power head? I would think four returns would be enough as long as the flow is not week.

true, and would be best. i would try to get the equivelent to rio 1700 and saio 620 and aviod having a power head. i think 2 would be good in a 26g.

Going with the Rio 2500 with a ball valve to adjust the flow.

Thanks for the help.

One more question about the overflow. The calculator says i need 10 linear inches, what does that mean?

may have a problem with bubbles with all that flow through the sump.

your going to want a 1 in bulkhead for the overflow,

after all the Ts and 90s the water would only trickle out with 4 nozzles.

your overflow "needs" to be 10 linear inches. So if has 2 sides make each side 5 inches if its 3 sided make 2 sides = and one the remainder of the 10 inches. just trying to say you "need" 10 inches of skimming the surface. about bubbles just plan out a good sump. Good luck
