Question Acclimating a Zenia - 1.020 to 1.026

I am acclimating a Pulsing Zenia frag right now...the first addition to my tank. I know...I am bad...flame away.

However, the roughly 1/2 litre of water that it is in has a salinity of 1.020, and my tank is 1.026, from my understanding this is a really big difference, so I will have to take my time...? Of all the times I cannot find any airline tubing to do a drip!! So I am using a turkey baster to put about a 1/2 ounce of water in the bag every 10 minutes or so. If I do this until the volume doubles, dump half of it out, and double the volume again that should give me 87.5% new water right? Would that be good?

It should be fine just remember to give the bag a swim for 15m or so to make sure the temps are even.

I would personally do it all the way up to 100% instead of dumping it in at 87.5%.

Oh, another question:

One of the branches of Zenia had detached itself, and the LFS has it attached with an elastic band. Should I superglue it back on, or does that not work with Zenia?

Na keep the band on it. It will grow around it. When that happens just remove the band.
