Ro/di

is a ro/di used only to make freshwater or can it be hooked up inline with the sump,skimmer,refuge,sorry i am bit confused ,but you guys (and gals) are teaching me and i am learning so thanks for thaT

i use mine to make fresh, salt, and use it for an automatic topoff.

RO/DI units only make pure freshwater. you can plumb them into an auto top-off, or anything else you may need. they are made to remove harmful metals and other solids from your tap water.

No gator. Don't hook it up to the tank. It will remove the salt and you'll end up with a freshwater tank; although you'll probably go broke buying DI canisters before that happens.

Use it only to purify tapwater,
