MRC MR-2 Output Question

I just received my new tank setup but there is no feasible way to run my MRC MR-2 output above the water level of the sump.

Will I have problems if I run the output below the water level?

Just run a T at the output, and run a vent above the waterline. Check the MRC thread... There are a bunch of pics in there.

awesome, so it doesn't matter how low I make the hole as long as the vent is above the water line?

? Mine enters the sump below the water line. I think your water line just has to be no more than 10" (I think that's the cutoff - double check).

Andy just responded with the same answer about the 10".

I'm not at my house to measure, but I'm assuming the 10" is to the hole in the silencer which makes sense since water would be coming out of that if it were below level. If I lift the skimmer up a few inches I should be able to have more water in the sump.
