Shop Light

I've been to alot of different LFS's out there, and always see these
giant light fixtures over their aquariums. I've talked to a few, and they say they are shop lights. On ebay I saw this item, will these type of lights (with a different bulb) work for growing all different types of corals in a small prop system? Anyone who have these types of lights, feel free to weigh in on this. Thanks,
