Angry Heater runaway, tank cooked!

Moved to the new visitherm heater and don't know what happened but thermal runaway, tank and corals cooked!!! This hobby can really be a pain, and expensive pain.

sorry to hear that, don't give up. There is no perfect heater and all heaters should have backup controllers.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it. On your do-over I suggest you buy two under powered heaters so that if one fails in the on position you don't create gumbo again. It amazes me that LFS's don't educate their employees on this type of easily avoidable catastrophe... It turns many a newbie away from this all consuming never ending money vacuume!
