Lights Arrived

Hello

Just an update, I was asking a few weeks ago on the coralife lights, aqua light pro. These lights have 3x 250w MH, 4 x96w Actinic, and 4 blue led for moon.

After 2.5 weeks enroute, (I will never get nothing shipped by bus again). They arrived today, and i have tested them when assembled to make sure they all work. Two thumbs up they all work.

But I have a delima or some problems to overcome and you can see in the pictures, and with out creating a huge hack job to "my" nice canopy I need some suggestions on how to make the legs fit better with in the canopy also I need some suggestions on how to create better airflow for cooling.

Here are my pics.

Enjoy

thats a tough one, they look nice under your canopy too, although im not sure how your going to get the legs to bend a bit so that they can fit in the canopy better...hopefully somebody with lighting experience will see this thread and come to your aid, hope this help's...

Lights

One of the ideas that i have is to have to strap to the top of the canopy lid by getting some mounting brackets made or use metal strapping.

cheers

That will be too close to the water. I would take the leggs off, cut a hole on the canopy, and attach the light on top of the canopy. You will have better cooling and the light will spread better.

Don't understand why would coralife create such a product that will end up too close the the water. The overall height of the legs are 4.5 inches, from where the legs sit to the estimated height of the water will be an additional 2 -3 inches, gving me close to 7-8 inches from water.

What would be standard distance from lights to water?

cheers
