Please help me identify what I have growing out of my live rock

I have no idea what this is, or whether its beneficial or not. Can you help me identify?

The first pic has alot of aiptasia and what im pretty sure is a cactus plant.

It is halimeda. Not bad just kind of annoying IMO

Don't let it grow out of control, it takes up calcium for growth.

Yep lots of Aiptasia...kill those little $&@*ers. The green stuff is definately Halimeda sp. and yes, it does suck up the calcium. It's really not very good stuff to have in your tank.

agreed, if you like it, keep it, just monitor your calcium, my small tanks calcium started going down fast when i had a decent sized cluster of this stuff
