HOB Skimmer with no bubbles
I currently have a AquaC Remora HOB skimmer and it puts millions of microbubbles into my tank. I purchased the preskimmer box but did no help for the bubbles. Does anyone know of a HOB skimmer that does not put microbubbles into the system.

I just recently started using a CPR BAK PAK skimmer...
I got microbubbles for about 45 minutes, and then they disappeared. I will occasionally get them again if I do something in my tank, but they go away in a matter of minutes. By the way... I love the skimmer. It does a great job! -Robert

I'm not sure how your remora is set up, but here is what I did with a BakPack to eliminate bubbles..........I got a piece of the plastic mesh that is sold at WalMart in the craft section in 8" x 11" sheets, and cut it to fit down in the chamber that the bubbles rise up in prior to flowing out the exit pipe. it is a tall skinny piece, about 10" x 2.5". I inserted it down into the chamber from corner to corner. Now the bubbles are pushed upwards and very few try to push sideways to get through the mesh. the water can still flow through it of course. You will see a reduction after a day or two anyway when a skimemr breaks in, but I got my MJ1200 really cranking out the bubbles with the Venturi modification and this mesh piece really helped to offset the increase in bubbles.

forgot to mention....and I also lowered the tube where the water flows out so that it was under water level. When it was half-in-half-out, it was causing additional bubbles.
