Question How Many Fish?

Hey everyone,
i just upgraded to a 125... how many fish can this tank hold.. thanks for the information..

That's not an easily-answered question. It depends on what kind of fish, their size, your filtration, how often you plan to do water changes, how much LR and sand you have as well as the type of corals you plan on keeping (if any).

I would say that you may be able to keep about 10 swimming show fish, and like 5 blennies/gobies(bottom/perching fish) for sure. You may be able to handle more or less o that amount.

Just be sure you have good filtration for your tank and that you do your water changes.

thanks for the information... see the thing is right now i have a

purple tang
hippo tang
2 bullet gobies
3 green chromis
dwarf lionfish
niger trigger
sailfin tang
2 tomato clowns
2 cleaner shrimp
emerald crab

about 125 lbs of rock and 100 lbs of sand...

the corals i want to get are some lps and sps... right now i have a ricordea and some xenia...

sump filtration with protein skimmer


can i add anymore fish? and will sps and lps be fine?

please let me hear your ideas for the quesitons thanks everyone the help is fantastic.

The general rule is to have 5 gallons per 1 inch of fish.

125/5 = 25 inches of fish

Future growth of fish should be considered in this calculation.
