The total volume is actually a bit closer to 800 Gallons. Would a 1/4 HP Chiller suffice then?

forget the 9420 I have it.Roger from Tunze told me he wouldn't put it on an SPS tank of more than 250 gallons. This skimmer is way to small for your tank.Unless you just want a fowler tank but even then I would go much larger skimmer.I would consider the ATI 300 model wich is not out yet(I think) or a larger Deltec model.I think the tunze models will be out in Marh.I would go with a larger model than the 9440.9440 does I think a little bit more than my model.Mine is good for 500 gal so it goes to show you for an SPS tank fully stocked with fish aswell you need to cut there rating by 40 to 50 %.

I think if you want the tunze I would go with the 9460.Its very expensive.I would ask Roger on the tunze forum what size tank it could do.Its rated for 1500 gal or litres I don't remember. For that amount of money you can buy a large Deltec or 2 x ati bubblemaster 250 wich could do your tank and then some.I would look into ati for the money and performance.

This might sound crazy as I understand that 1500=2(750), but is 1 Skimmer Rated at 1500G = 2 Skimmers Rated at 750G?? |
