I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this product and if it works?

I know there are those that love all these additives but if you do regular water changes, as Ruiz promotes, then your coralline will do fine all by itself. The stuff is mainly water with some magnesium added I've been told.

Waterkeeper is right. Your tank will do just fine and will get just as much color without it. There will come a time that you will wish you might have not used it because soon it will grow everywhere, power heads, filters, skimmers, and all over your main tank.

I'd avoid Purple Up. Very bad experiences documented in the Chemistry Forum. Keep your alk and calcium steady and you'll have plenty of coralline.

I will not use this product ever again.The only additive I use now is the 2 part calc/alk.

As the Jedi Master says, "Supplements Avoid, lead to the Darkside they do".

The only needed supplement for most tanks is calcium and alkalinity and a package of Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime will do that at minimal cost. All else can be supplied by today's brands of Salt Mixes. They are far better today than they were 25 years ago at providing a proper reef environment

Good rule we use here is to never add anything to your tank that you can't test for. If you don't know what's in something... don't put it in your tank regardless of what it's called or claims to do on the package.

I only add in order to maintain my levels.I guess it all depends on what you have in your tank.I have alot of calc. loving corals in my tank.I do a 15 gallon water change every 10 days and i cant seem to keep my levels up unless I add my 2 part.
