Filter sock or bubble tower

I am in the process of setting up a 75 AGA with 2 1" drains. My question is shoud I use filter socks on the drains or feed them into bubble towers filled with LR rubble? What are the pros and cons?

I use Filter Socks and replace once a week with a clean one. I like the socks because of all the debri they trap along with the micro bubbles.
